1. On 9 January 1924, Bishop G.H. Bickley presided over a grand groundbreaking ceremony attended by hundreds, including church leaders and the Chinese community.

2. In 1885, Methodist missionaries Rev. W. F. Oldham and Dr. J. Thoburn arrived in Singapore, initiating Methodist work in the region. By 1889, the Malaysian Missionary Society was formed, with Dr. Benjamin West leading Chinese ministry efforts.

3. The church expanded its site through negotiations with Gan Eng Seng School. Originally purchased for $3,600, the project cost $75,000, funded through American Missionary Society, Methodist Publishing House, and local donors like Eu Tong Sen, Oei Tiong Ham to name a few.

7-9. Path to Autonomy (1933–1976)

  • 1936: Malaya Chinese Mission Conference formed
  • In 1968, in order to seek self-reliance, the Methodist Church in Malaysia and Singapore established the Chinese Annual Conference
  • In 1976, after the CAC of Singapore and Malaysia split, TA became the largest and oldest Chinese Methodist Church of the CAC in Singapore.

1. 建堂盛大仪式1924 年 1 月 9 日，比克利会督主持了一场盛大仪式，数百名教会领袖和华人社区代表出席。

2. 1885 年，卫理公会传教士（Rev. W. F. Oldham）和 Dr. J.Thoburn 抵达新加坡，开启了本区域的卫理公会事工。1889年，马来西亚差会成立，由卫士德医生（Dr. B. F. West）负责华人福音工作。

5. Bishop Edwin F. Lee，1928–1948 任职与方汉京牧师（1933–1961 担任直落亚逸堂主任牧师）共同塑造了 TACMC 及新加坡卫理公会的发展。

7-9. 自治之路（1933–1976）

  • 1936 年：经美国总会批准成立”马来亚华人教区会议”
  • 1968 年：1968 年， 为寻求自立， 马来西亚与新加坡卫理公会成立了华人年议会。
  • 1976 年：新加坡卫理公会（MCS）完全独立，TACMC 加入其华人年议会（CAC）成为新加坡第三古老华人公里公会卫理公会直落亚逸礼拜堂，但属CAC体系下最悠久，现今任是规模最大的华人卫理公会礼拜堂。
