A Hub for Community & Faith
Commissioned by the American Methodist Mission, Telok Ayer Chinese Methodist Church (TACMC) was designed as an institutionalized recreation space, integrating religion and social activities.

4. Enduring Outreach: Serving Beyond the Church
TACMC’s community work extends beyond its walls. Since the 2000s, it has maintained outreach ministries in Chin Swee, Telok Blangah, and Jalan Kukoh. Additionally, for over a decade, the church has partnered with St. Luke’s Eldercare Centre (Telok Blangah), providing companionship and support for seniors.
5. A Legacy of Care: The 1925 Children’s Centre
As reported in The Methodist Message (October 2002, page 4), TACMC established a children’s centre in 1925 to assist needy families—an early example of its commitment to social welfare.
