Community Outreach @ TA (COTA) and Community Outreach @ TB (COTB) are befriending and engagement initiatives that reach out to residents living in HDB rental flats. These initiatives cover the following blocks:
Blks 51 and 52 Chin Swee,
Blks 2 and 3 Jalan Kukoh,
Blks 3, 4 & 7 Telok Blangah Crescent.

Once a month on Saturday, three teams—made up of members from TA’s three congregations—gather at 10am at their respective locations:
• Blk 51 Chin Swee
• Blk 1 Jalan Kukoh
• Blk 5 Telok Blangah Crescent

Each team brings along small snack packs as door gifts for the residents they visit. Volunteers work in pairs or trios and carry out their outreach from 10am to 12pm. They knock on doors, present the snacks, and spend time chatting with the residents. Through these conversations, they offer care, concern, and a listening ear. For residents who request prayer, the befrienders will pray for them. When the opportunity arises, they also extend an invitation to attend church services.

Every Sunday, our befrienders accompany about 20 residents in two hired vans to attend the 11am Hokkien Service. In addition, another team conducts a monthly Small Group Meeting at a resident’s home, attended by around 15 residents.

All church members are warmly welcome to serve God as befrienders in this meaningful outreach ministry with COTA/COTB.
